People in the Middle East get confused when evaluating the credentials of Doctors by the different claims of experience, Certificates and Boards...etc, to make it simple for you, these are the facts :

• The American Board of Surgery certificate issued by the American College of Surgeons is the highest and most trusted certificate of Surgical competence on earth, and to get it, Doctors need at least eight years of vigorous training and testings both in the  highest practice standards  and wealth of medical knowledge.
• All other Certificates, Boards, Academies...etc you hear about and see in ads and business cards are fancy names of unfounded or proved experience that may or may not be true, many of them require one or two days course and a fee to get.
• To make it simple, and for the best care available any where, ask your Doctor this simple question : Are you American Board Certified in your field or not, are you a Fellow in the American college of Surgery or not, if he or she is actually certified, the certificates should be proudly displayed for all patients to see in the waiting room. If he or she is not , you will get the run around answers.
