Dr Sean Lanigan, MD FRCP DCH, is Group Medical Director and Consultant Dermatologist for sk:n, The UK’s No.1 skin clinic and Honorary Consultant Dermatologist - City Hospital, Birmingham.

As the range of and awareness for skin diseases has grown, so has Dr Lanigans enthusiasm for the subject and he is now recognised internationally as an expert in the field of laser treatment of skin diseases. He has over 20 years of contributed research and over 140 publications under his belt. He is the author of the only European textbook on laser treatment of skin diseases entitled Lasers in Dermatology, published by Springer and sold worldwide. He is also Editor in Chief of Lasers in Medical Science, the leading scientific medical laser journal in Europe and has received multiple citations in Whos Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Whos Who in Science and Engineering and Best Doctors in the UK.

Medical Director

Dr Askari Townshend qualified from Nottingham University Medical School and then spent several years in surgical training including work in breast reconstruction and plastic surgery.

Dr Townshend is a full time sk:n doctor and an expert in rejuvenation treatments. He has been Medical Director of our Northampton sk:n clinic since December 2010.

Dr Chris Harland MA MB FRCP is the Surrey sk:n medical director and also consultant dermatologist at Epsom & St Helier university hospitals NHS trust, where he is clinical lead for the department.

Dr Harland is recognised nationally as an expert in the field of laser treatment of skin diseases. His specialist areas include laser ablation of rare, serious medical conditions such as lymphangiomata, hailey-hailey disease, tuberose sclerosis and epidermal naevi.

His other interests include skin cancer surgery, and medical education. Currently, he is clinical sub dean for the trust, and for St. George’s University of London.
