Dr Nicholas Bennett

Mr Bennett qualified in 1988 from University College London and went on to complete his Officer training at Sandhurst. After two years experiencing life as a general practitioner he started plastic surgery training in London in 1994.

He moved to Odstock Hospital Salisbury in 1996 as a Senior House Officer and trained in hand surgery, breast reconstruction, burn management, the use of lasers and general plastic, reconstructive and plastic surgery for 3 years. At this time he was awarded fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Following this he spent a year researching the management of chemical burns and has published several clinical papers and presented his work at international meetings.

In March 2000 he moved to the internationally renowned Canniesburn hospital, Glasgow, where he received training in a wide variety of sub-specialties as a Senior Registrar. In particular, the management of skin cancer, head and neck surgery, microsurgery, burns, endoscopic assisted surgery, breast reconstruction, cleft lip and palate surgery and cosmetic surgery.

Having completed his specialist training, he attained the Plastic Surgery Fellowship examination, FRCS (Plast), in September 2002, and passed the European Board Fellowship Examination in Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) in Switzerland in November 2002. His Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training (CCST) was awarded in February 2003. He is a member of The British Association of Plastic Surgeons.

He has now settled in Hampshire as a Plastic Surgery Consultant at The Royal Hospital Haslar and Portsmouth Healthcare NHS Trust. He also operates at a number of private hospitals in the region.

Dr Jeremy Hurren

Mr Hurren is a National Health Service consultant in breast, oncological, plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. 

He trained as a plastic surgeon in Salisbury, Cambridge and Norwich; during his training he spent 2 months in the USA to study breast reconstruction techniques. He visited the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston and Emory University, Atlanta. Following completion of his training he was fellow in surgical oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital where he worked on the sarcoma and melanoma unit and in the breast service. Prior to taking up his consultant post he was fellow in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at the Institute Curie in Paris for 6 months.

He is pleased to offer a service in cosmetic surgery, which includes breast enhancement, breast reduction, and ‘tummy tucks (abdominoplasty), liposuction and facial cosmetic surgery. 

His particular clinical interest is in the application of plastic surgery to the treatment of cancer; in particular the use of plastic techniques for the treatment of breast cancer (oncoplastic surgery) and breast reconstruction, the surgical treatment of skin cancer (particularly melanoma) and soft tissue tumours (sarcoma).

Dr Ankur Pandya

Ankur Pandya qualified as a doctor in 1985. He spent the next four years in a number of surgical specialties as part of a basic surgical rotation (general surgery, paediatric surgery, hepatobiliary and endocrine surgery). He was awarded the Fellowships of the Scottish Colleges in 1993 - FRCS(Ed) FRCS(Glas).

He went on to have extensive training in plastic surgery (1989-2001), initially abroad for five years and then over seven years at East Grinstead (The Queen Victoria Hospital), Oxford (Radcliffe Infirmary), Aylesbury (Stoke Mandeville Hospital) and Stevenage (Lister Hospital). This included training in cosmetic, breast, hand, paediatric plastic surgery, use of lasers and treatment of skin cancers.

On finishing his training he successfully completed the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Plastic Surgery FRCS(Plast) in 1998 and received his Certificate of Completion of Specialist training in April 2001.

He was appointed as a consultant in October 2001 at the Royal Haslar Hospital Gosport and The Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth. He took over as the NHS consultant for Chichester (St Richards Hospital) in May 2003. He took over as Clinical Director of Plastic Surgery in June 2003. He is attached to a number of private hospitals in the region.
Mr Pandya is a member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) and has presented and published papers on aesthetic, hand, general plastic surgery and burn injury. He has also made contributions to textbooks in plastic surgery. 

Mr Pandya has clinical interests in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, especially aesthetic, reconstructive, hand and paediatric surgery His current spectrum of work includes cosmetic surgery, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, facial rejuvenation, breast enlargements, reductions and uplifts, treatments of breasts in males (gynaecomastia), prominent ear correction as well as surgery and surgical treatment of skin cancers. His other interests include breast reconstruction, hand and paediatric surgery.

Dr Godwin Scerri

Mr Scerri has clinical interests in all aspects of plastic surgery especially cosmetic, reconstructive and hand surgery. He qualified in 1982 from the Royal London Hospital Medical College and trained in Plastic Surgery in London, Stoke Mandeville, Glasgow and at Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge, followed by a specialist Hand Surgery Fellowship at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. He finished his Plastic Surgery training to become a consultant in 1995.

He is a member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the British Burns Association and the Military Surgical Society. He has written papers on cosmetic surgery, hand surgery, burn injury and telemedicine. He has also made contributions to textbooks in Plastic and Trauma Surgery.

Mr Scerri joined the Royal Air Force Medical Branch in 1980 and is currently Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Specialist Advisor in Plastic Surgery at the Royal Hospital Haslar, where he holds the military rank of Wing Commander. His specialist interests are general plastic and reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery and hand surgery.
