During your first consultation, some time will be spent using a number of different diagnostic techniques to get a complete picture of your health and lifestyle. This will include taking a full medical history, reading your pulses, taking your blood pressure, checking your temperature and looking at your tongue. Based on this information, a diagnosis is made and your personal treatment plan is planned. You may also have your first treatment during this session.

Response to treatment can sometimes include tiredness or other mild symptoms. These reactions are normal and are very short-lived.
If you are currently under the regular care of a doctor or receiving prescribed medication, it is recommended that you let your doctor know that you are planning to have acupuncture.
