Jat Patel is a British citizen who qualified as a General Dentist in 1993 from Sheffield University; Jat is the joint director of JK Dental and 1A Dental practice. Jat has been a Dental Practitioner for 18 years and during that time he has gained a postgraduate qualification in Prosthodontics and he is also qualified in Implantology.

BSc, BDS, MSc, FDS,MOrth FDS(Orth) RCSRichard graduated in 1991 from the Queen’s University of Belfast with both anatomy and dental degrees. He worked in several renowned oral and maxillofacial surgical units, then undertook his three year specialist orthodontic training at Guy’s Hospital (becoming a qualified specialist in 1998), followed by two years of higher training at the Leeds Dental Institute. In total, he has been awarded three university degrees and two Fellowships by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Since 2001 he has worked as a hospital consultant orthodontist in Peterborough and in a specialist private practice.Richard has a proven track record of clinical excellence and innovation, and is recognised as the UK expert in the latest orthodontic field of bone anchorage. He designed the InfinitasTM Mini-implant System, the most widely used orthodontic implant in the UK, and recently selected for USA distribution by Dentsply Ltd. Richard has lectured throughout the UK and abroad, has published numerous peer-reviewed papers, and he will publish a major new orthodontic textbook in 2012.Richard is also clinical sub-editor for the (UK based) Journal of Orthodontics, a referee for several orthodontic journals, and a specialty examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. All of these achievements, combined with a commitment to the pursuit of quality in orthodontic care, mean that Richard has become one of the most eminent UK orthodontists.
