Dr. Recasata is highly-trained in the field of Plastic Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery as well as General Surgery. He is a graduate of BS Medical Technology at the Far Eastern University Institute of Medicine (NRMF) and proceeded to complete his medical education in the same University. Dr. Recasata spent five years of residency training in General Surgery at the Rizal Medical Center and was chosen to be the Chief Resident on his senior year. Dr. Recasata went on to finish three more years of Plastic Surgery Residency training under Consortium 1, rotating in six different Institutions namely Rizal Medical Center, Makati Medical Center, University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Veterans Memorial Medical Center, East Avenue Medical Center and Quezon City General Hospital.
Dr. Recasata is certified by the Philippine Board of Plastic Surgery - the only board recognized by the Philippine College of Surgeons to certify Plastic Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the Philippine Association of Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (PAPRAS) and a Fellow of The Philippine College of Surgeons (PCS). Furthermore, Dr. Recasata is committed to continuing medical and surgical education gaining knowledge in his field and allied areas. A regular attendee of conferences, symposia, and workshops, the latest of which is the Laser workshop, he constantly works to improve and update his craft and skills. He also volunteers as a Plastic Surgeon who participates in numerous medical/surgical missions to treat children with birth defects. In 1996 he was given a research grant by the Japan Surgical Society in Chiba, Japan. He has also received Mesotherapy Training in Bangkok, Thailand and was also a recipient of the Physician Training Program in Norfolk Virginia, USA.
Recently he joined the International workshop on Breast Augmentation using the Polyurethane breast implants and the workshop on Buttocks Augmentation (Brazilian Butt) held in Rio de Janeiro / San Paolo, Brazil. He also had a similar hands-on workshop in Frankfurt, Germany on the latest Dermatological Fillers and Mesoporation technique last February 2008. As of today only Dr Recasata is doing the permanent ACNE Scar Removal Technique using stem cell induction following his own protocol and he had given several talks on the subject matter since 2007.
