The Kanata Skin Clinic has been specializing in Medical Cosmetic treatments in Ottawa since 2004. Our treatments include HydraFacials, CoolSculpting, Laser Hair Removal and other skin rejuvenating procedures.

Dr. Erik Hegmann, Medical Director, performs all injections himself and directly supervises laser treatments performed by his qualified medical estheticians, including Laser Hair Removal.  So you know you'll have a safe, effective treatment.

We also offer Fractional Laser Treatments to get rid of wrinkles and acne scarring, and Photofacials (Photorejuvenation) for Rosacea and Spider Vein treatments.

We are one of the only Clinics in Ottawa to offer the HydraFacial, which is similar to a microdermabrasion.  Like a microdermabrasion, the HydraFacial provides a good exfoliation of the skin.  However, it also hydrates the skin and infuses it with nourishing serums, leaving your skin fresh, plump and glowing.

Dr. Hegmann is on-site and supervising at all times, so that if any questions or concerns arise, he'll be there to take care of you.

I'm very pleased with my first IPL Photofacial treatment I had for rosacea. I have a few more treatments to go but already see a reduction in capillaries.

The staff are great! Helpful, friendly, informative and always ensuring all questions are answered. I had my consultation (with both a Medical Aesthetician and a Doctor) and my first treatment within 2 weeks of my first phone call.

Dr. Hegmann completed a Masters of Science, specializing in cancer research, at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Facility in Toronto. During this time, he published articles and traveled extensively to present his research findings. He then enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine at the Unversity of Toronto, where he graduated with Honours in 1996. He completed his Residency training in Family Medicine at Scarborough General Hospital. He began his practice at the Manotick Medical Centre in 1998. In 2004 he moved his practice to it's present location in order to incorporate his growing interest in Cosmetic and Laser Medicine. Dr. Hegmann lives in Nepean with his wife and four children.
