I joined the very experienced team at Laser Skin Care and working under the guidance of two of Perth's leading dermatologists was a great and crucial start . Unlike large numbers of aesthetic physicians, my passion is not just for facial rejuvenation using injectables but also extends to helping people with skin conditions like active acne, rosacea, sun damage, acne and surgical scarring & hormonal pigmentation. With years of experience in women’s health and also mental health, I saw the close association between the inner and outer health and beauty. When we look good on the outside then we feel good on the inside and it promotes a healthy confidence and self esteem. Identifying this within my patients as well as family & friends who were suffering from acne & psoriasis empowered me as cosmetic physician to assist patients to identify & treat the issues to avoid them seeking unnecessary treatments & to assist with their inner peace. I regularly attend cosmetics congress & conferences and have obtained certificates in dermatology and skin cancer to enable myself to provide holistic advice to my patients and clients. I believe the best results in cosmetic & anti-ageing medicine are achieved by implementing a combination of various modalities. Only treating primary problem areas can cause secondary problem areas to become distracting & more noticeable. Cosmetic medicine is a vey complex marriage between art and science and shouldn't be trusted to anyone other than a qualified cosmetic physician.

Dr Lata Boyce has been working as a General Practitioner in Australia since 1989, gaining various experience and qualifications over the years. She acquired her fellowship with the Australian Royal College of General Practitioners in 1996 and, after obtaining her training in Cosmetic Medicine through the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine and has been performing non-surgical cosmetic facial rejuvenation since 2009.

To complement her general practice and cosmetic medicine expertise, Dr Boyce obtained her fellowship and specialization in Anti-ageing, metabolic, functional and regenerative medicine, connecting the dots between her interests and furthering her dedication to assist her patients in achieving healing.

Dr Boyce is board certified with the American and Australasian Academy of Anti-ageing medicine enabling her to specialise in Bio-identical hormones and personalised medicine. She is a present member of the Australasian Academy of Anti-ageing, Australasian College of Aesthetic medicine and Australasian college of Environmental and Nutritional medicine.

Dr Boyce’s qualifications, certifications and ongoing participation in national and international conferences and workshops enables her to review each individual’s hormone balances, nutritional deficiencies related to diet and lifestyle habits, genetic defects causing dysfunction of their metabolic pathway and environmental stress and how this impacts on their health, in order to offer prevention strategies and healing approaches unique to the individual.

Her philosophy, passion, internal and external health strategies and expertise in Cosmetic Rejuvenation for both women and men is the hallmark of the Renew Me program.

Originally from Mauritius, I graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1999. The first few years of my medical career were spent at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital supporting my training & progression into general practice. 

I completed my Royal Australian College of General Practitioner Fellowship in 2005. I also hold a Diploma in Child Health. Since 2004, I have been working at Seacrest Medical Centre in Sorrento, where my core interests are paediatrics and women’s health.

I also have over 9 years of experience in all areas of Cosmetic Medicine including 

skin rejuvenation more specifically photo-dynamic therapy for sun damaged skin, the use of lasers for scar reduction, laser removal of tattoos, pigmented and vascular lesions; as well as skin injectables including wrinkle relaxers and fillers and extensive experience in sclerotherapy for the treatment of spider veins on legs.

After qualifying as a medical practitioner in 1983, I spent 2 years undertaking compulsory medical service as a military doctor and 4 years working in anaesthetics, obstetrics and rural general practice/anaesthesia in Canada and South Africa. It was following this service that I settled in Australia.

I have been in General Practice and Skin Cancer Practice in Perth's northern suburbs for the last 15 years, and have been a licensed laser medical practitioner since 1995.

My philosophy within cosmetic medicine is to provide competent, efficient and natural looking improvement in his clients’ appearances. To this end, and after much research, I have finally settled on a combination of lasers, IPL machines and cosmetic treatments which I know are safe, versatile and effective.

To keep fully up-to-date with the latest innovations and technologies in the Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Medicine Fields, I regularly attend conferences both within Australia and overseas.
