Excessive underarm sweating - Hyperhidrosis

Excessive sweating, medically known as Hyperhidrosis, involves overactive sweat glands.  This can disrupt many aspects of ones life, including career choice, recreational activities, relationships, emotional well being and self esteem.

After the first treatment, the effects of the muscle relaxant last an average of 7 months.  However the amount of time the relaxant remains active may vary from person to person.

Treatments work by entering the specific glands in the underarms responsible for excessive sweating.  There, it blocks the release of a chemical that signals the body to produce perspiration.

Generally this procedure only takes 20mins to perform and is a great non surgical option.  Discomfort is typically minimal and brief, and although the injection may sting for a few seconds, normal activities can be resumed soon after.

After injection, it takes about 7 days to the relaxant treatment to take full effect.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

IPL treatments are an effective, non invasive procedure used to permanently reduce unwanted hair and improve many skin conditions.

We use IPL to improve and remove pigmentation, flushing skin and broken capilliaries.  IPL uses specific wavelengths of light which are converted to heat which selectively damages the target cells (eg. pigment, broken capilliaries, collagen stimulation,) whilst leaving the surrounding skin unaffected.

As collagen is stimulated in this treatment your skin will take on a youthful glow.  You will find a textural change takes place therefore your make up will glide on, pore size will reduce and a more even tone to the skin will occur.

All our IPL treatments are carried out by our Registered Nurse or Dr McMaster.

Leg Vein Treatments

Vein treatments are performed by Dr Stuart McMaster - Queenslands only graduate of the Australasian College of Phlebology.

We specialise in the NON surgical removal of varicose veins using the latest technology - Endovenous Laser. (No stripping of leg veins necessary).

Broken capillaries are commonly found at the side of noses, chins and cheeks.  Using a non invasive technique known as Intense Pulsed Light, we can successfully reduce or remove these veins.

A series of treatment is sometimes needed to remove stubborn or very fine vessels from cheeks, however we have great success with single treatment sessions for those veins around the nose.

Initial Consultations for Leg vein treatments are $150.00 of which you will get back $117.20 from Medicare.

Dr McMaster has provided this service to his patients in New Zealand and Australia over the past 20 years. He has experience and training in skin cancer detection with a post graduate diploma of dermoscopy from the University of Graz, Austria. He has also worked for several years as a lecturer with theUniversity of Queensland establishing the UQ Masters in Skin Cancer degree for doctors. At the Grange Clinic we can provide your first contact for skin cancer surveillance, diagnosis and treatment, and will refer on to the appropriate surgery or dermatology colleagues should you require more specialised care. Digital dermoscopic photography for surveillance and monitoring of skin lesions is also utilised in circumstances where this is deemed to be the most appropriate management.

We use combined therapies of prescription skincare from Allmedic and Aspect Dr, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), dermal/skin fillers and muscle relaxers for facial rejuvenation.
