Botulinum toxin injection gained popularity because it is a low risk, simple and effective way of reducing  deep wrinkles without the need for surgery.  Botox works by preventing the injected muscles from receiving the nerve signals that tell them to tense.  If the wrinkle is continuously improved by repeated treatment, the overlying skin becomes stronger and  better able to resist wrinkling, In time the habit of frowning may even diminish. The procedure generally takes only a few minutes.  Bx injected into the specific muscles that cause the wrinkle.  No anaesthetic is required and recovery  is immediate.  You will start to notice a reduction in muscle power  (wrinkles) within 3-5 days, with the greatest reduction in 1-2 weeks.  The effect of the injection lasts for different lengths of time in different people.   Most people will require a repeat treatment every 3 - 5 months.
