SCOD (Surgical Center for Obesity and Diabetes) was started six years ago in 2011 under the mentorship of Dr. Laurent Layani from Weightloss Solutions Australia based in Gold Coast and was known as Weightloss Solutions India. Weightloss Solutions India was a tie up between Weightloss Solutions Australia and Dr. Arush Sabharwal. During the first year of the tie up Dr. Arush Sabharwal felt the term WEIGHTLOSS was not correct as it was misguiding the common public who thought it to be a center for Conservative Management for Obesity and hence had a formal meeting with Dr. Laurent Layani where we had a mutual consensus of renaming Weightloss Solutions India to SCOD (Surgical Center for Obesity and Diabetes).
