Mr Bruno Sgromo is the Lead Consultant Bariatric Surgeon for the Oxford Bariatric Service & Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon for the Department of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford, United Kingdom. Mr Sgromo has been performing weight loss surgery since 2004, with a particular focus on gastric bypasses and revisional bariatric surgery. He specialises in laparoscopic gastric band insertion, endoscopic gastric balloon insertion, laparoscopic roux-en-Y gastric by-pass, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and revisional bariatric surgery. To date, Mr Sgromo has performed over 500 key hole surgical procedures for weight loss. In April I went to Belgium to have my eyelid surgery done. A friend and I were doing some research on clinics and Belgium’s response rate, photos on the website, cost and general services, made it our best option. It was really good value for money. I’m so pleased with the results and would do it all over again if given the chance. The follow-up was done at their London-based surgery and I had the stitches removed there too. Downtime was only three days.

Mr Agrawal is a fantastic consultant. He explains all eligible procedures in great detail along with associated risks. I came from Northern Ireland, Mr Agrawal made the process of travelling for pre-ops and consultations easy as he combined them on the same day. Meaning I only had to travel over to London once before the op. Mr Agrawal is very honest and I appreciated this more. Would definitely recommend Mr Agrawal.

I had a gastric sleeve done in May 2019. I have lost just shy of 5 stone in 1 year. I was very hesitant to do the operation at age 22 but it's the best decision I ever made. Mr. Awad was kind and efficient throughout and the Tonic team have been constantly supporting me. The op went very smoothly and the lift to and from the Derby hospital and London was such a considerate feature. The first 3-4 weeks are tough but completely worth it. I'm well adjusted to my new stomach now. I don't feel like I'm deprived of anything. I feel like now my body isn't always working against me and gaining weight disproportionately.
