Professor Fried is an internationally acclaimed expert in bariatric and laparoscopic surgery. He comes from Prague where he graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, in 1982. He received an attestation in surgery. Professor Fried began to specialise in bariatic surgery in the early 1990s, when he became a member of a medical team specialising in this area.

Professor Fried holds two important firsts in his field. In 1993, he was the first surgeon in the world to fit a non-adjustable gastric band laparoscopically on an obese patient . In 2000 he was the first surgeon in the Czech Republic to perform a robot-assisted gastric band operation.

From 1994 to 2001, Dr. Fried was the head physician at the General Faculty Hospital and at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University (Prague). In 2005 he was promoted to Professor of Surgery at Charles University. He has been the head of OB klinika since 2009. Professor Fried also operates and lectures abroad, especially in the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Professor Fried continues to be a member of many professional associations. He was the vice-president of IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders) and he has been the executive director of its European chapter for three years. He is a member of the International Society of Surgery, The New York Academy of Sciences and many others.

Doctor Satankova is an expert in plastic and aesthetic surgery. She graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine, Charles University (Prague) and received an attestation first in general and then in plastic surgery. She started her professional career at the Plastic Surgery Clinic in the faculty hospital of Kralovske Vinohrady, Prague, where she worked for ten years as a researcher in the department of burn injuries. Following this, she performed operations as a fellow plastic surgeon and was also a tutor for medical students at Charles University. She then started to work at Medical Aesthetics Institute, but founded her own clinic of aesthetic surgery in 1994 – it was one of the first and most popular clinics of its kind in the Czech Republic.

From 2007 to 2010 she was an expert adviser for plastic surgery in the USA. During her career, she has also completed several professional internships in the Netherlands and Germany. At present, she is the head surgeon of the aesthetic surgery department at OB klinika, Prague.

Doctor Satankova is a member of many medical associations, for example the Czech Association of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Allergan Academy. She is also a member of The Czech Medical Chamber and The American Medical Association. She has published extensively in the area of plastic and aesthetic surgery and has also discussed the topic in the media.

Dr. Moravec is an experienced plastic surgeon with over 17 years of successful track record in surgery.

He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague in 1994 and commenced his career as a general surgeon in Neratovice hospital, where he operated in the surgical team until 1999. During this time he moved his focus on plastic surgery and became a fully licensed plastic surgeon.

He then moved to become a plastic surgeon in a private surgical clinic Palas Athena in Prague and operated there until 2004. In order to further expand his track record in specialized surgery, since 2004 he has been operating within one of the best plastic surgery teams in the country in the Plastic Surgery Unit of the Teaching Hospital Na Bulovce, Prague. Since 2011 he has also been cooperating with OB Klinika in Prague.

Dr. Moravce has two medical attestations, in general surgery and in plastic surgery. During his career, he has led more than 1,000 surgical operations. Dr Moravec is a Czech Medical Association J.E.Purkyne member in the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery.

Doctor Petra Sramkova graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Charles University (Prague). In 1998, she received an attestation in internal medicine, specialising in obesitology, both in research and practice. She took part in the European Study NUGENOB, which researched the role of candidate genes in weight reduction and diet interventions. She has been working part-time in the Diagnostic Centre for Obesity Treatment at the Institute of Endocrinology, Prague, since 2003 and in 2010 she became the vice principal and head obesitologist at OB klinika.

Doctor Sramkova has published extensively in both the professional and the popular media and continues to take part in many congresses and meeting at the international level. She is a member of The Czech Society for the Study of Obesity, the bariatric section of The Czech Surgical Society and of IFSO, the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders.

Doctor Karin Dolezalova graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Charles University (Prague). She began her professional career as a general surgeon and traumatologist at the surgery clinic of the General Faculty Hospital and at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University (Prague). In 2002 she decided to specialise in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery and now she works as a surgeon at OB klinika. Doctor Dolezalova has completed several national and international internships and training programmes, including in the USA and Italy. She has also lectured at international congresses (Austria, Portugal, Japan, France, India and others) and IFSO congresses (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders). She is a member of The Czech Society for the Study of Obesity, the bariatric section of The Czech Surgical Society and the aforementioned IFSO. She publishes actively, especially in the area of the laparoscopic adjustable band and 

Doctor Stanislav Adamec is an expert in gastroenterology with a fifteen-year professional career. This began in the department of gastroenterology at the internal clinic of the General Faculty Hospital in Prague for ten years, followed by work at other clinics and the centre Remedis, specialising in gastroenterology and hepatology. He also has professional experience from Germany, in particular at Mittweida hospital. He publishes both in the medical and the popular media.

Doctor Helena Bedrichova graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Charles University (Prague) and in 1996 she received an attestation in anaesthesiology and resuscitation. She has completed many professional courses, including a regional course in Anaesthesia, a course in acupuncture in Prague and a course in Obstetric Analgesia and Anaesthesia in Sweden. She is a member of The Czech Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine.

From 1984 to 2010, she worked at the Clinic of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care in the General Faculty Hospital in Prague and for five years she was the head anaesthetist there. Since 2010 she has been the head anaesthetist at OB klinika.

Sabina Sudolska, MD, graduated from Palacky University, Faculty of Medicine in 2003. After completing her studies she worked in two renowned dental centres in Prague. There she gained professional experience and expertise in a wide array of dental works. Since 2008 she has been running her own practice focusing predominantly on aesthetic dentistry. Together with Vojtech Slezacek, MD, she performs large reconstructions and tooth replacements in form of implants. Dr. Sudolska is a regular participant at professional seminars, practical trainings and specialized presentations, all of which as part of the high standard continuous learning program. Most recently she has taken part at a practical seminar in implant prosthetics conducted by a well known Daniel Hess at his dental centre in Austria. Dr. Sudolska is a member of the Czech Association of Aesthetic Dentistry.
