Robin’s first degree was in Business Administration studying at one of the top five business schools in the UK at Cardiff University. After graduating in 1997, Robin spent the following 6 years working in the pensions, investment and employee benefits industry.
Robin began his formal studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 2003 when he enrolled on the original 5-year degree programme offered by both Middlesex University and Beijing University. As part of this course, Robin was required to spend half his final year in China training at two of the largest TCM hospitals in Beijing. The hospitals most prominent physicians tutored him on the latest techniques and treatment methods used in China today, whereby he gained extensive experience working in the cardiology, neurology, respiratory, gynaecology, dermatology, gerontology and paediatric wards. Robin graduated in 2008 with a first class honours degree and was awarded a special prize for excellence in TCM studies by the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who has also expressed interest in publishing his dissertation on Acupuncture and Hypertension.
Robin now practises at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford from both a private practice as well as voluntarily attached to The Fountain Centre in St. Luke’s Cancer Centre. He also has a clinics in Streatham, South London, Dorking, Surrey, Champneys Forest Mere Health Farm in Liphook and most recently at Bessel’s Green Osteopaths in Sevenoaks, Kent.
