Electro-Acupuncture £40 - £60
Electroacupuncture is a form of acupuncture where a small electric current is passed between pairs of acupuncture needles. "Electroacupuncture is quite similar to traditional acupuncture in that the same points are stimulated during treatment. As with traditional acupuncture, needles are inserted on specific points along the body. The needles are then attached to a device that generates continuous electric pulses using small clips. These devices are used to adjust the frequency and intensity of the impulse being delivered, depending on the condition being treated. Electroacupuncture uses two needles at time so that the impulses can pass from one needle to the other.

Acupuncture is an ancient system of treatment, which developed in SE Asia over 2500 years ago. It involves using sterilised, single-use needles that are very thin and flexible. These are inserted into places in your skin that the experience of thousands of years has shown to be beneficial for your health and the relief of pain.I have trained for example in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Channel and Ear acupuncture. They each have different strengths and approaches. Personally I favour Channel and Japanese acupuncture, although I've practised Chinese-style acupuncture for over 35 years. My original training was in Five-Element acupuncture, which I also use regularly. Many patients come first for pain or other health issues.Research: Western medicine makes big claims for success although when you examine them, many (apparently over 80%!) drugs when tested are found to be ineffective. Very little testing has been done on acupuncture, but the results are gradually accumulating in its favour. How do I know where to place the needles? Based on theory (almost as much theory as Western medicine!) and after discussion with you, I may take your pulse the Chinese way, examine your abdomen and/or where there is discomfort or pain, look at your tongue, and do a series of other forms of examination. Only then can I come to a diagnosis and be able to make a treatment plan and start to help you.Acupuncture is almost painless, has few side-effects, and often leaves people feeling wonderfully relaxed and comfortable with themselves.Sometimes I may do what is called 'cupping', 'moxibustion', or other treatment connected with acupuncture, or recommend herbs or nutritional or other changes or treatments.

In fact, the results were better than indicatedPatricia, UK, 11 05 18

I damaged my achilies when running. Previously this has taken months to recover. As I have a charity walk to complete in 3 weeks time I decided to try a physio. Abdur used a mixture of massage and ultra sound and gave me some exercises to do in between sessions. The results have been excellent. My Achilles has recovered and I will be completing the walk this weekend. A clean professional clinic. Abdur watches and listens closely while making the initial assessment. He explained his recommended course of treatment and was realistic in what he felt could be achieved. In fact, the results were better than indicated.

After a few sessions, I could feel significantly betterSheila, UK, 30 11 20

I've been going to Jenny for stress and also back pain. After a few sessions, I could feel significantly better. Would highly. Recommend her.

Electro-Acupuncture
Electro-acupuncture (not as alarming as it sounds!) is sometimes used as part of a treatment and is particularly effective for pain relief.  Small clips are attached to some of the acupuncture needles and connected to a battery powered device which emits continuous electric pulses, stimulating the points being treated.
Acupuncturist Consultation
Chang Chun (Jenny) Ren trained for 5 years at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has over 27 years of extensive clinical experience.  Free initial consultation of up to 15 minutes. Treatments include Acupuncture, Tui-Na, Cupping, Moxibustion and advice about diet and exercise.
Fertility Acupuncture
The Acupuncture Clinic has had considerable success in fertility treatments. Acupuncture can help to balance hormones and improve circulation in the womb, which improves the chances of a successful pregnancy. The success rate of IVF treatments is almost doubled when used in conjunction with acupuncture  treatments.  Acupuncture is also a very effective treatment for morning sickness.  To see if Acupuncture might help you why not book a free consultation?
