Great service, very glad I went there
I received my degree in acupuncture from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. The acupuncture degree course is validated by Kingston University and accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB) I also undertook a diploma in Tui na (Chinese medical massage) at the same institution, this greatly enhanced my knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body.
I practice Traditional Acupuncture, combining the style of Chinese Medicine to treat a wide variety of physical, mental and emotional symptoms with the more modern techniques of 5-Element acupuncture, which treats the underlying constitution of a person to promote optimal wellbeing.
I am fully insured, first aid trained and also currently volunteering as an acupuncturist at The Fountain Centre, a charity for cancer patients located in the St.Lukes cancer unit at The Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.
Sibs Walter has been awarded a BSc (Hons) Acupuncture degree by Kingston University and a Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic Ac) by the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.
Initially Sibs worked as a Chartered Physiotherapist culminating with the position of Deputy Head of Physiotherapy at the London Independent Hospital. She is also a highly qualified Shiatsu practitioner and international Shiatsu teacher.
Her approach to acupuncture has been strongly influenced by her longstanding interest in the palpatory techniques of Shiatsu and their adaptation to Acupuncture. Such a synthesis allows the practitioner to truly listen to a patient’s energy and to engage it directly.
Sibs is a member of BAcC, the British Acupuncture Council, whose members are vetted and approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care ensuring high standards of training, safe practice and professional conduct.
