Dr John is very gentle and polite! The consultation was free and afterwards, I had done electro-acupuncture, some acupuncture and heating treatment. Although their conversations and diagnosis are kept private, patients are treated communally. Patients report a feeling of togetherness and community similar to that of a yoga or T’ai Chi class. If you treatment requires privacy, we will take you to a private room. As the acupuncturist is not tied to treating just one person at a time, treatment costs are kept down and a larger number of people can be treated in one day. This is the way treatment typically happens in China. For patients with chronic conditions that require frequent treatments, this is an excellent way of keeping the cost down.
