Your first consultation will last about 75 minutes. Once we have discussed your specific health issues, I will take your full medical case history. I will then ask you to undress to your underwear (medical gowns are available if preferred) and examine you, focusing on any particular problems. I will then look at your tongue, take your pulses, make a Chinese medical diagnosis and discuss my proposed treatment plan with you. For your treatment you will lie on a comfortable couch and be covered with towels. The acupuncture needles used a very fine and sterile. Insertion of the needles should not be painful, though you may be the de qi sensation from the needles. The needles are left in for about 20 minutes.

Your treatment may also include some massage.
